I am having trouble connecting to my EM250/EM260 with my ISA, how do I resolve this?
I am seeing that the SIF shift register is not functioning correctly. What can I do?
There are a number of issues that can occur while using the SIF
connection with the ISA. Most can be resolved using the following five
steps:
- open the SIF Explorer utility, which is found in the SIF\bin subdirectory of the xIDE installation (same place that em2xx_load.exe lives). There should be a sifexplorer.exe binary there that you can run.
- Inside SIF Explorer, choose Configuration >> Auto-detect SIF >> Remove SIF Pods.
- Select All, then proceed with removal.
- Then go back to the Add/remove SIF Pods menu, choose Auto-detect SIF, select the MAC address of your network card that’s on the subnet with the ISAs, and then proceed with a scan.
- Grab the ISAs you want to talk to, and then OK the dialogs. You should now be able to hopefully communicate with your ISA in question.
